Arabian Nuggets
This has been a big success in our home when ever I have friends with cats or new kittens I always make a batch of Tuna Tips and they with out fail come back for more. When I had my catering company Wendy’s Doggie Bags these were our #1 hit!
INGREDIENTS:
1 Large can tuna – dark packed in oil you can also use canned mackerel.
1 tbsp. Chopped parsley.
1 Cup crushed corn flakes.
3 tbsp. Wheat germ.
PREHEAT: Oven to 350 degrees.
MIX: Tuna or mackerel with parsley making a paste. Then take your paste and roll into small balls. Combine wheat germ and corn flakes put this mixture into a bowel and then roll dough into the mixture. Use a fork to slightly flatten them out. Place drops on to a greased cookie sheet (I use a non stick spray).
BAKE: Until golden brown. I prefer to turn off the oven leaving the cookies in there while they cool. This helps to preserve freshness, makes them extra crunchy as well as intensifying the flavor.
STORE: In an air tight container in the fridge. I also like to freeze them.
MAKES: 20-30 nuggets.
